Welcome Father Gary Hawkins!  On Sunday, June 23, 2019,  Father Gary Hawkins will be welcomed as our guest preacher and celebrant.

Lemonade Sunday  Lemonade Sunday is the social time right after the 9:00 service in the summer months at St. Barnabas.  Our table is right outside the door by the parking lot.  Have something to sip and something to munch.  Please join us!  Lois Graham is hosting June 23; Terry Farquhar will host June 30.

Summer Pantry Project Starts  It’s summer time (yay!), and time for our summer Pantry Project.  We support three struggling families four times a year with groceries and store gift cards.  One family is an older widow with many health problems.  Another is a mother with three teenagers, while the third is a mother with three younger children.  The older woman needs low-sodium and sugar-free items.  Nonperishable food, paper goods, and household items, as well as donations will be collected through Sunday, June 30th.  If you would like to contribute toward the purchase of fresh food and gift cards for the families, please give cash donations to Jill Singleton, Barbara Reynolds, or Aaron Ellis, or put a check in the offering written to St. Barnabas with Pantry Project in the memo line.  Thank you in advance for helping to care for these families.

St. Barnabas Mission trip to Kentucky with ASP  Today, seven parishioners from St. Barnabas will join with St. Martin’s in the Fields, Severna Park to participate in the Appalachian Service Project.  Together we will work on a variety of different projects, including tasks such as strengthening foundations, patching leaks, fixing roofs, building walls, repairing stairs, digging flood channels, installing plumbing, and painting exteriors for a family in need.  We will leave on Sunday, June 23rd  and return on Saturday, June 29th.  Please keep our team in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for this amazing experience!  They include Wayne Pugh, Scott Wallace, Austin Graham, Elizabeth and Cora McMahan, Greta Kefauver Olsen and Mother Meredith.

Parish Office closed this week!  The parish office will be closed June 24th-June 28th.  Mother Meredith will be away on the Mission Trip to Lawrence, Kentucky and the Parish Administrator will be away on vacation.  For pastoral emergencies please contact Fr. Tracy Wilder at 813-431-0368.
